The Program Cycle is USAID’s operational model for planning, implementing and assessing development programming in a given country or region. This framework links together the fundamental components of the Agency’s programming. It ensures that planning and implementation is informed by continuous learning and adapting, and aligned with budget and resources in support of U.S. development policy. The components include:
  • Country/Regional Strategic Planning
  • Project Design and Implementation
  • Activity Design and Implementation
  • Monitoring and Evaluation
