Description

On March 5, 2020, USAID approved its groundbreaking policy on Promoting the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (PRO-IP). Now what does that really mean for you? For the work that we do? What are some of the best practices to engage with Indigenous Peoples, to safeguard against harm, and support their development priorities and self-reliance in order to achieve USAID's mission?

We invite you to join us and our colleagues from the USAID/Guatemala Mission in a discussion on how to navigate these questions. We will briefly introduce the policy and highlight  lessons and experiences learned from Guatemala  to illustrate how to collaborate with Indigenous Peoples as partners in development.
