Reinventing Global Health Assistance and Interventions through Real-Time Online Collaboration
Assistance and interventions in global health now take years to be implemented, and many are not scaled up, thus having limited population-level impact. In addition, country ownership and sustainability are not often achieved. This collaborating, learning, and adapting (CLA) case study highlights efforts at building a rapid, more affordable, scalable, and sustainable approach to delivering healthcare knowledge and best practices at countrywide scale.
This case study was submitted as part of USAID's CLA Case Competition, held in August 2015. Taken together, this collection of submissions illustrates the diversity of ways collaborating, learning, and adapting approaches are being operationalized in the field. Stringent judging criteria was used to determine official CLA Case Competition winners, so not all submissions should be considered an official USAID endorsement of best practice.
