These cards depict the different roles or ‘hats’ that a market facilitator is required to play when implementing a value chain development project. They are designed to be a visual reminder of the key ideas and important questions that staff should be asking themselves or their actors during market facilitation. The cards highlight the roles of communicator, relationship builder, systems analyst, coach and innovator, as well as the key foundational attitudes and capacities good market facilitators should have.
