Event Description

ENGAGE. LEARN. BUILD.

At this time of dramatic global change, addressing interconnected global issues is more important than ever. The annual InterAction Forum allows the leadership of NGOs, governments, philanthropy, corporations and civil society to engage and forge common solutions to improve the lives of the world’s poor and marginalized, moving us toward a sustainable planet that works for all.

For 29 years, the Forum has brought together international development, humanitarian, human rights, environmental and democracy nonprofit professionals from around the globe, becoming one of the premier international development and humanitarian gatherings in the country.

Nearly 1,000 attendees from more than 350 organizations participate in the Forum annually, learning from experts, networking with peers and engaging with others on issues critical to their work.

Issues like natural disasters, food price volatility, social and technological change, and gender equity remain complex and dynamic. To build sustainable long-term solutions that will serve the most vulnerable populations, alleviate poverty and advance equality around the world, we need to harness the strength of multiple sectors, each with different perspectives and mandates. The Forum focuses on enhancing partnerships between all development and humanitarian actors, including NGO, government, philanthropic, corporate and civil society participants, to develop effective programs, policies and mutually-beneficial solutions to alleviate poverty and advance equality around the world.

This year alongside the traditional workshops & plenary sessions, we also have tracks specifically designed for attendees at specific stages in their careers. Graduate students and Younger professionals may be interested in the Young Professionals Summit. Executives may benefit from the high level leadership training and networking available through our CEO Track. In addtion there will be tracks fo workshops for advocacy professionals, commnications staff and those interested in transparency and evaluation. Visit the Forum workshops page for more information. Attending one of these customized events does not remove you from the Forum. Rather, it customizes your experience in an effort to maximize your engagement, learning, networking opportunities.
