Resilience Coordination Global Meeting

Objective:

To harness the success and further develop the potential of the USAID resilience programs and teams in resilience focus countries 

Goals:   

The participants will:

  • Build and reinforce the USAID resilience network across regions and between DC and the field.
  • Exchange lessons learned and best practices across the portfolio for programming and coordination (both internal and external), with a focus on learning initiatives/support contracts, government engagement and support, and key emerging themes (fragility, poverty dynamics, etc). 
  • Identify constraints and opportunities in the role of USAID resilience coordinators, share lessons learned.
  • Reinforce a collective vision for resilience at USAID.

The Center for Resilience staff and Resilience Coordinators/focal points will come away from the meeting with:

  • A better understanding of roles and responsibilities of the Center and of the Resilience Coordinators and Focal Points. 
  • Up-to-date resilience information and technical resources
  • A strategic narrative to frame the story of their resilience work in communications activities.

Location and Logistics

The Resilience Coordination Global Meeting will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dakar Sea Plaza, Route de la Corniche O, Dakar 16868, Senegal. Dress code for the meeting is casual.

Accommodation
