Host

SID-Washington

Event Description

Brought to you by the Gender in Development Workgroup

A number of USAID staff have already taken USAID's new Gender 101 online training tool to advance their understanding of gender and the policies enacted by USAID to integrate gender in to the work place and programming. The purpose of this SIDW-GID event is to provide ideas for gender practitioners in adapting and integrating the Gender 101 resource in to their organizations and programs.

Participants are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to take the 1.5-2 hour course in advance of the event. Lyn Neylon from the USAID GenDev Office will discuss the development of Gender 101, how the rollout is going, and plans for Gender 102 and 103. Participants will work together to develop pieces of a discussion guide that can be used alongside the training to help gender practitioners to adapt and integrate the tool to their organization's programs, and expand the opportunities for learning beyond the online course.
