USAID's Knowledge Management Reference Group

Event Description

Please join the Knowledge Management Reference Group, SILK's Topical & Tangible series on Wednesday, November 6 for a discussion led by PPL/LER’s learning team Stacey Young, Thom Sinclair and Monica Matts on Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) for knowledge management (KM) and learning. One of the challenges faced by KM, learning advocates and practitioners in international development is finding effective ways to measure the results of their work. We will discuss methods and tools for M&E that demonstrate the value of KM and learning activities and their impact on development outcomes.

If you would like to attend the KM Reference Group meeting in person and you are from outside USAID, please email [email protected] to request an escort for the meeting.

We know you’re busy or you may be teleworking or at a mission, so the KM Reference Group is also available via AIDConnect, enabling you to contribute from anywhere. To connect to the meeting, open this URL: https://ac.usaid.gov/kmrefrec. You can dial in for audio at (800) 516-9896, passcode 797-595-6201.

The Knowledge Management (KM) Reference Group is a place for USAID and external development professionals to come together to learn how knowledge management can be applied and practiced in the development field. Meetings are held biweekly and provide a place to exchange ideas and share challenges. Topics include all aspects of knowledge management such as best practices, lessons learned and demonstrations of new KM tools. Meetings are open to anyone who is interested in KM practices and principles. Whether you are a novice or seasoned KM practitioner, we welcome your contributions.

Notes and recordings are posted to the group’s AllNet Portal community and its Developedia page.  Please contact the KM Team at [email protected] if you would like to be added to the group’s distribution list or AllNet community.
