Description

This content is currently under revision to align with the recently updated ADS 201.

For guidance and support associated with revisions to ADS 201, please see the Program Cycle overview page.

This additional help resource complements ADS 201 by providing guidance on protecting monitoring data, particularly in regard to beneficiaries, across the Program Cycle. As a best practice, datasecurity approaches should be detailed in a data management section of the Activity Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Plan.

As an additional resource, USAID Staff may want to reference ADS 508, which details USAID’s internal policies and procedures for protecting programmatic data, and specifically personally identifiable information (PII).

This resource is part of the Monitoring Toolkit. It is intended to assist USAID and implementing partner staff ensure monitoring data are collected, stored, and reported in a secure manner that does not jeopardize beneficiaries.
