Description

These resources provide fictionalized examples of context- and evidence-driven theories of change. The examples include both the theory of change narrative and the visual known as the logic model. The examples are adapted from a USAID/Vietnam theory of change training delivered in November of 2021.

There are two files on this page - one provides the two example theories of change and the other (labeled annotated) provides the same examples with comment boxes denoting the theory of change element (outcomes, entry points, interventions, and assumptions). The examples are adapted from USAID’s Bureau for Policy, Planning and Learning (PPL) and a USAID/Vietnam implementing partner. These examples can be useful when teams are trying to understand what strong theory of change products look like.
