Event Resources | Bite-Sized Learning: CLA Saves the Day: Successful Activity Redesigns and Pivots

Published
Description

On July 11, 2024, USAID’s Bureau of Planning, Learning, and Resource Management hosted Session 4 of the 2023-2024 Bite-Sized Learning Series, CLA Saves the Day: Successful Activity Redesigns and Pivots. The session featured input from two of the Agency’s implementing partners, RTI International and the International Republican Institute. During the session, participants unpacked lessons learned from their 2023 CLA Case Competition submissions, and engaged in a Q&A session that explored how practitioners turned to CLA as a means to salvage activities that were not working as intended. The results were often better than could have been expected–from total redesigns and newfound partnerships, to unexpected travels and innovative collaborations. You can watch the session recording and download the event slides above.

The ongoing Bite-Sized Learning series offers candid perspectives from development professionals within and beyond the Agency, as well as tangible tips and tools for applying CLA to tackle pressing development challenges. The series, which builds upon insights from the 600+ Collaboration, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) Case Competition submissions on Learning Lab, is open to USAID and its partners. We hope you will continue to join us!
